• Criteria first. We decide what matters (and how we will measure it) before looking at any product.
• Sources are cited. Specs come from manufacturers; claims about performance cite testing, published research or clearly labelled first-hand use.
• Ratings are ours. No brand pays for placement, reviews or ratings. Affiliate commissions never change a ranking.
• Updated, not abandoned. Guides show their last-updated date; we revise them when products or evidence change.
